1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser between pages and visits. We also use browser local storage, which works similarly but is only readable by our own pages. We keep our use deliberately small: sign-in, one referral cookie, first-party analytics and payment processing. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites through our pages.
2. Essential cookies
Our authentication system sets a session cookie (better-auth.session_token, served as __Secure-better-auth.session_token over HTTPS) when you sign in. It keeps you signed in securely across liquid1trade.com subdomains, expires or refreshes automatically, and is strictly necessary: the platform cannot work without it. Security services from our hosting and network providers (Vercel and Cloudflare) may also set short-lived cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from attacks.
3. Referral cookie
If you open a link containing a referral code (a ?ref= parameter), we set a first-party cookie named liquidone_refcontaining the referrer's code. It lasts up to 30 days and is used once, at signup, to credit the person who referred you; it is then deleted. It contains no personal information about you.
4. Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics and error tracking so we can see which features are used, find bugs and improve the product. PostHog is served through our own domain (a first-party setup), stores an anonymous device identifier in cookies and local storage keys prefixed ph_, and records events such as pages viewed, features used and errors encountered. We use this data to operate and improve LiquidONE only; we do not sell it and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Aggregate performance metrics may also be collected by Cloudflare Insights, which does not use cookies.
We also use Vercel Analytics (aggregate page and referrer counts) and Vercel Speed Insights (page load and responsiveness measurements). Both are operated by our hosting provider and are governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
None of these load until you allow them.On your first visit we ask, and nothing analytics related runs while you decide. If you decline, PostHog, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are never loaded and set nothing on your device. Declining does not limit any feature. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under liquidone_analytics_consent, not in a cookie, so recording the choice does not itself place a tracker. Clearing your site data resets the choice and we will ask again.
5. Payments
When you open a checkout, Stripe sets cookies needed to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud (for example __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid). These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy and only appear on payment flows.
6. Local storage
We store interface preferences in your browser's local storage rather than cookies where possible: your theme choice and your privacy-mode setting (which blurs balances on screen). These values never leave your device and can be cleared through your browser's site data settings at any time.
7. How to control cookies
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies per site (look for "Site settings" or "Privacy" in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). Blocking all cookies will prevent sign-in from working, because session cookies are essential. Clearing cookies removes the referral cookie and resets the analytics identifier, so we will ask for your analytics choice again on your next visit. You can also contact us at privacy@liquid1trade.com to have analytics data associated with your account deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and contact
If we add or change cookies materially, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions: privacy@liquid1trade.com.
